Michael Thier is an award winning architect with 13 years of professional experience and comes from a family heavily involved in the construction industry. He has participated in the design development, construction document and contract administration phases for such projects as the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo, the University of Toronto Pharmacy Building, the new Pearson Airport Terminal.

Prior to joining WGD, Michael acted as both an architect in private practice as well as a general contractor on small design/build projects. Consequently, he intimately understands the complexities of both renovation and new build projects and the relationships between the various parties during construction

Michael’s experience includes the Cobourg Community Complex, Leaside Memorial Arena Expansion, Flemingdon Park Arena Renovations and the Downsview Park Four-pad Arena Complex.
